Franklin Smith is proud to be partnering with a leading professional quantity surveying consultancy in recruitment for an experienced Cost Planner/ Estimator with experience in mechanical, piping or plumbing.
This business, a global leader within a specific niche of the construction industry and is now experiencing considerable growth throughout the operation in New South Wales.
Offering an energetic team, great projects, a substantial pipeline of work including tendered and negotiated contracts, this business can really offer something unique that is not currently on the market.
In this role the candidate will have the opportunity to work on projects including health, correctional facilities, technology centres, and various other large, complex & technical building projects.
Responsibilities
The ideal person for this role will be a qualified mechanical or electrical engineer or plumber/electrician with experience working as an estimator or quantity surveyor locally or internationally.
Responsibilities
- Cost planning and pre-contract quantity surveying services
- Measuring materials from take-off and developing detailed BOQs
- Liaising with clients and various stakeholders to ensure accurate pricing
- Developing relationships with internal key stakeholders and suppliers
Qualifications
- A degree in quantity surveying/engineering or a trade qualification
- At least 3 years' experience in a quantity surveying or estimating position
- Member of AIQS or engineers Australia
- Experience working in Australia ideal
- Experience working on building projects as opposed to infrastructure
