About the role

We have partnered with a dynamic commercial fit-out construction business operating in Queensland. Having recently been awarded a new project, they are now seeking a Project Manager who will display their leadership skills by overseeing their projects from planning stage to completion.

 

The successful candidate will be working alongside an experienced site team and reporting to the BDM.

 

As a Project Manager, you will oversee high end commercial fit out with an estimate value of $2M. You will demonstrate strong interpersonal skills to manage multiple parties and ability to deliver projects under tight timeframes.

Responsibilities
  • Lead the delivery of construction projects across numerous sectors
  • Provide leadership in work winning activities by managing tender/proposal preparation and submission as well as arranging and attending Client meetings
  • Manage project scope, time, cost, quality, risk and procurement in order to achieve project objectives
  • Mentor and assist with the professional development of more junior employees
  • Preparing and budgets as well as overseeing day to day project financing and expenditure (purchase orders, change orders, payments).
  • Plan, organise, direct, and coordinate the full range of duties related to construction projects.
  • Participate and develop plans for continuous improvements and be accountable within a budget.
Qualifications
  • 5+ year required working with fit outs as Project Manager or similar role.
  • A strong understanding of all current building codes and legislation
  • Must be fully ticketed – to all standards
  • Experience in the relevant field and a background working with fit out companies
  • Demonstrated performance in project execution from beginning to end
  • Client relationship management experience
  • Ability to work with others in a team environment
  • A pro-active attitude with good communication skills and strong attention to detail
  • Achieve targets whilst maintaining a high standard of quality
  • Excellent communication and management skills.
