About the Role:
We are seeking an experienced and detail-oriented Senior Estimator to join our team for a major civil infrastructure project valued at $40M+. You will be responsible for accurately estimating costs, resources, and timeframes to ensure the project is delivered within budget and on schedule. This is a key role that demands expertise in civil construction, excellent analytical skills, and the ability to communicate effectively with stakeholders.
Key Responsibilities:
- Prepare detailed cost estimates for a large-scale civil infrastructure project.
- Assess project scope, including plans, specifications, and other relevant documentation.
- Work closely with project managers, engineers, and subcontractors to gather cost data and develop comprehensive estimates.
- Analyze project risks and contingencies, ensuring accurate risk pricing.
- Provide input into the procurement process and assist in evaluating subcontractor bids.
- Monitor project costs throughout the lifecycle and provide regular updates to stakeholders.
- Prepare and submit reports on cost breakdowns, budgets, and any variations.
- Review and analyze contract terms to ensure alignment with project cost objectives.
Key Requirements:
- Proven experience as a Senior Estimator, with specific expertise in civil projects.
- Hands-on experience in estimating for projects valued at $40M+.
- Strong understanding of civil construction processes, materials, and cost structures.
- Excellent analytical and problem-solving abilities.
- Advanced knowledge of estimation software and tools.
- Strong communication and negotiation skills.
- Tertiary qualifications in Civil Engineering, Construction Management, Quantity Surveying, or a related field.
- Ability to work under pressure and meet tight deadlines.
