About the Role:
We are seeking an experienced Structural Foreman to oversee the structural phases of high-end apartment tower, typically their projects range from 5 to 20 storeys. The successful candidate will play a pivotal role in ensuring that structural works are completed safely, on time, and to the highest quality standards.
Key Responsibilities:
- Project Oversight: Manage all on-site structural activities from initiation through to completion, ensuring adherence to project plans and specifications.
- Team Leadership: Supervise and coordinate the efforts of site personnel, subcontractors, and trades to foster a collaborative and productive work environment.
- Quality Assurance: Implement and monitor quality control procedures to maintain the company's high standards and promptly address any issues that arise.
- Safety Management: Uphold strict safety protocols, conduct regular site inspections, and ensure compliance with all occupational health and safety regulations.
- Scheduling and Coordination: Develop and maintain project schedules, coordinate material deliveries, and ensure efficient resource allocation to meet project deadlines.
- Stakeholder Communication: Serve as the primary point of contact for project managers, engineers, and other stakeholders, providing regular updates and addressing any concerns.
Requirements:
- Experience: Minimum of 2+ years as a Structural Foreman on mid-rise residential projects (5–20 storeys).
- Technical Proficiency: In-depth understanding of structural systems, formwork, reinforcement, and concrete works.
- Leadership Skills: Proven ability to lead and motivate teams, manage subcontractors, and coordinate multiple facets of construction projects.
- Problem-Solving Abilities: Capacity to identify potential issues proactively and implement effective solutions to keep projects on track.
- Communication Skills: Strong verbal and written communication skills to liaise effectively with team members, subcontractors, and stakeholders.
- Certifications: Relevant trade qualifications and certifications in construction management or a related field. A valid Queensland Building and Construction Commission (QBCC) license is preferred.
