This 16-storey commercial building will be the tallest in Fortitude Valley. It has been lodged by Pcrew Property for a project known as ‘The Olive Branch’, which is located at 63-67 McLachlan Street and includes an ambitious design.

Biophilic design commercial building

Pcrew Property will build a 16-storey Biophilic Design commercial building at McLachlan Street.

This building is set to be a Net Zero energy investment due to the use of numerous sustainable design features. It also represents an “exemplar landscaped approach to development” according to planners Urbis.

The building is being described as a ‘Biophilic Design’ which connects humans with the natural world to improve well-being and inspire productivity.

The proposal, which has been designed by Cottee Parker and committed to achieving third-party Carbon Neutral Certification via Climate Active, will target high performance as built Green Star ratings while also aiming for NABERS certification through efficient sustainable development practices. In addition, they will also use Renewable Power.

The building has a large wellness centre on levels 1 to 2 and an impressive rooftop restaurant, as well. The ground floor lobby Cafe tenancy offers some retail space for lease too.

With 38 parking spaces across the two basement levels, this building will be able to charge all of them with EV charging.
