Libbit Holdings Pty Ltd & RAAB Pty Ltd has submitted an 18-storey, residential-led tower for 9 Overend Street and 31-33 Wellington Road in East Brisbane.
Designed by Rothelowman, the stepped tower design includes 181 apartments as well as a provision for ‘activity-generating creative space’ within three ground-floor retail tenancies ranging from 60 sq.m. to 210 sq.m., designed specifically with small businesses needing localised space. A double-height laneway running through Wellington Road will provide landscaping and street furniture while two outdoor work stations are planned on level 2 of this stately building development in order to make it easy access for residents who want some fresh air but don’t feel like getting outside or need their desk close at hand!
There is also a provision for solar panels located above the mid-roof terrace, which can generate enough clean energy.
