Construction company Hickory has announced that they have completed work on a $150 million Little Group development. The 20-storey glass tower will be Australia’s first Hyatt Centric hotel and marks an exciting new era for high-tech travel in this country.
The Hyatt Centric Melbourne is designed by Architectus and Hecker Guthrie with interiors done in collaboration. The six-level podium houses the hotel’s interior, which features 278 guest rooms across 26 floors.
The hotel is a reflection of Melbourne’s vibrant street culture. The guest rooms have been designed with clean, uncomplicated lines and soft colors to reflect the city’s heritage as well as its current status in society – an urban landscape full of life that never sleeps. In addition, you’ll find spacious function areas on levels five and six alongside a gorgeous lap pool.
The hotel’s in-built converged electrical network allows staff to control different modes, including cleaning schedules where all lights are bright and ambiance settings for when guests first enter their rooms. This saves time on maintenance alerts that could interrupt guest stay.
The construction of Hyatt Centric Melbourne is now complete. The Managing Director, George Abraham said they’re pleased with the outcome and that their team did an excellent job on this project.
Chairman and Founder of Little Group, Paul Little expressed delight at the opportunity to partner with Hyatt for their first Hyatt Centric hotel in Australia.
