The construction of the $28.6 million Junior Secondary Precinct at Pacific Pines State High School has begun. This project is expected to support 85 jobs during its duration, and it will be delivered by Hutchinson Builders.

State Member for Gaven, Meaghan Scanlon, representing Minister for Education Grace Grace said that today was an exciting day in the history of this school. She expressed her gratitude and excitement at seeing it finally get started up and running with all these new improvements. The Queensland Government is committed to providing quality education facilities and creating jobs through Queensland’s COVID-19 economic recovery plan.

With the new junior secondary precinct, the future looks bright. Pacific Pines State High School Principal Mark Peggrem said that this expansion will help the school meet community needs for the next decade and beyond.
