A development application has been submitted by Mirvac for stage 2 of the Brisbane Racing Club redevelopment. The two new towers are located next to stage 1 of the racecourse, with heights 14 and 15 stories respectively.

According to planners Urbis, the buildings comprise a podium and tower typology that represents “the iconic Queenslander style homes.” The towers are raised above two-story podiums which sit over common basements comprising of two levels.

With extensive communal open space and increased visual connectivity, the elevated tower form of this proposal allows for recreation opportunities to engage with local attractions from Lancaster Road all the way through Eagle Farm Racecourse.

The proposal provides residents with a communal open space that is elevated, allowing them to have increased visual connectivity from Lancaster Road all the way through Nudgee Road and onto Eagle Farm Racecourse.

The two towers, designed by Mirvac Design, are Paris-shaped and have separated facades for the higher levels. There’s a future development zone planned to the right of tower D that will feature five more buildings in its plan.
