The plan to build a 16 story residential tower at Portside Wharf East has been submitted by Brookfield Asset Management – Asia Pacific. The developers describe this development as an elegant and sophisticated design that will complement the existing built form of its surroundings.

The “Building 19” was designed by Cottee Parker Architects and is located at Portside East. The project consists of 186 apartments and three ground-floor retail tenancies for those who live there as well.

Brookfield is more than just an office high-rise developer. In 2020, Brookfield completed work on Gallery House at Portside East. One can expect to see more towers soon with their ‘Olandia’ and Rivello residential buildings being approved by EDQ. Their newest addition to their portfolio is a hotel mezzanine level at Portside East with enough room for a pool – this proposal has it all.

The project is close to the new Brisbane 2032 Olympic Games athletes village, which will house 10 thousand members and provide a diverse residential offering. Key features include affordable housing for retirees in addition to social living quarters with caretaking services on-site if needed.

The Brisbane Cruise Terminal may be transitioning from being used as a passenger terminal with ships docking in various places around the port, to one that solely acts as a transit for them. This means less traffic and increased efficiency.
