After years of planning, the first stage of construction for Queensland Government’s regional quarantine facility at Wellcamp is now complete and almost ready to take in its first arrivals next year.

Wellcamp Quarantine

Queensland’s first purpose-built quarantine facility has been completed.

Steven Miles, the State Development Minister for Queensland said that this is a milestone in delivering their first purpose-built regional quarantine facility.

The future facility will be an integral part of Queensland’s quarantine system, which includes home quarantines. This is just another great way to keep our community safe.

Chairman John Wagner of the Wagner Corporation announced that their company has achieved a major milestone, completing construction on 130 accommodation modules. This is an impressive amount for such a large project and reflects well not only upon them but also all those who had involvement in its successful completion including local workers as well contractors supplying materials or skilled tradespeople doing carpentry workmanship alongside more complex metal structures at various stages during the installation process.
