A glimpse of what’s inside Western Sydney Airport Metro

Sydney Metro – Western Sydney Airport construction is starting soon and major work will start in the coming months, with tunneling contracts being awarded by December 2020. Tunnel boring machines are expected to be on-site at this time as well! The end of 2023 can’t come fast enough because Sydney Metro – Western Sydney Airport projects have already started their groundwork for contractors, tunnel bores arriving before Christmas.

The Federal Government and NSW State Governments are jointly responsible for the 23-kilometer metro railway project. The six stations will include two stops at Sydney Airport, providing a convenient option to travelers who want to explore Western Sydney without having to worry about parking their car or getting caught in traffic while they’re there! The recent rail line between St. Marys and the Western Sydney Aerotropolis is set up so that travelers can easily access both sides of the town with no hassle.

New South Wales Transport and Roads Minister Andrew Constance said that the 23-kilometer driverless metro will service western Sydney, making it easier for people living in this region to get around. Federal Communications, Urban Infrastructure, Cities, and Arts Minister Paul Fletcher also expressed his approval for these new developments saying this is a major step forward for the Metro rail line.

NSW Jobs, Investment, Tourism, and Western Sydney Minister Stuart Ayres said the project will provide the backbone for the further development of Western Parkland City. This means that residents can look forward to more new jobs in their area as well as improvements in business investment.
