About the role


Franklin Smith has landed an opportunity with a close repeat client of ours. The business is a well-established family-owned construction company based in Brisbane. They are seeking an enthusiastic and dedicated Site Manager to join their team and oversee multi-residential and commercial projects up to $50m.


The ideal candidate will be responsible in supervising these construction projects and ensuring that it will be completed on time and within budget.

  • Managing contractors and sub-contractors on site
  • Ensuring all works are completed to scope and required standards
  • Review program and assist the PM in the formulation of works and program
  • Cost control, monitor all project purchases and identify variances
  • Maintaining quality of workmanship and materials, reporting any subcontractor or supplier whose performance is sub-standard to the PM
  • Attend and participate in regular client meetings
  • Liaise with internal staff, suppliers, subcontractors, management and clients
  • Maintain project documentation and conduct on-site inspections
  • Identify and resolve issues and ensure safety regulations are followed
  • Must be experienced in delivering quality projects from the ground right through to hand over.
  • Experience and understanding of both structures and finishes
  • A strong understanding of all current building codes and legislation
  • Must have QBCC licence
  • Relevant professional qualifications; trade or tertiary
  • Good level of computer literacy
  • Excellent communication and management skills.
  • Ability to work with others in a team environment
  • A pro-active attitude with good communication skills and strong attention to detail
  • Achieve targets whilst maintaining a high standard of quality
