About the role
Franklin Smith has landed an opportunity with a close repeat client of ours. The business is a well-established family-owned construction company based in Brisbane. They are seeking an enthusiastic and dedicated Site Manager to join their team and oversee multi-residential and commercial projects up to $50m.
The ideal candidate will be responsible in supervising these construction projects and ensuring that it will be completed on time and within budget.

Responsibilities
- Managing contractors and sub-contractors on site
- Ensuring all works are completed to scope and required standards
- Review program and assist the PM in the formulation of works and program
- Cost control, monitor all project purchases and identify variances
- Maintaining quality of workmanship and materials, reporting any subcontractor or supplier whose performance is sub-standard to the PM
- Attend and participate in regular client meetings
- Liaise with internal staff, suppliers, subcontractors, management and clients
- Maintain project documentation and conduct on-site inspections
- Identify and resolve issues and ensure safety regulations are followed
Qualifications
- Must be experienced in delivering quality projects from the ground right through to hand over.
- Experience and understanding of both structures and finishes
- A strong understanding of all current building codes and legislation
- Must have QBCC licence
- Relevant professional qualifications; trade or tertiary
- Good level of computer literacy
- Excellent communication and management skills.
- Ability to work with others in a team environment
- A pro-active attitude with good communication skills and strong attention to detail
- Achieve targets whilst maintaining a high standard of quality
